Annie Fung has over 10-year professional spa and beauty experience, back to HK from New Zealand in 2004 for the mission of bringing in the international standard of spa ethic and practical education.  Annie is an International Spa, Beauty, LL Laser, Red Vein, Sport therapist and lecturer, Electrolygist, Nutritionist, founder of HK More Than Skin Urban Spa. Meanwhile, she was invited to hold talks at a number of beauty expositions in Asian Pacific region and has been writing articles on magazines whilst Country Club and several international five-star hotels also invited me to offer management and practical training for their spa centre managers and staff.

In September 2009, Annie was proudly appointed to be the board committee (Director of Education) of the China Spa Association. She is also appointed to be the founding chairperson of the China Spa Association in Hong Kong.

Annie is entitled to a number of International Certified Professional qualifications. This includes Comité International D'Esthétique Et De Cosmétologie Diploma from the Swiss (the best known beauty diploma from the world), the Sport Massage & Lymphatic Drainage Massage Diploma from ITEC of Britain, the Human Nutrition Certificate & the Red Vein Therapy Diploma from New Zealand, and the Lower Level Laser Therapy Certificate from the Australian Institute of Laser Therapy.

Annie Fung had received professional training for more than a year from a prestigious Beauty Academy, Joyce Blok Institute of Professional Beauty Therapy, Auckland, New Zealand. After 1,500 hours of intensive training, Annie graduated as an honoured student with Professional Beauty Therapist & Electrolygist qualifications. Back then, Annie was the only Asian student and was the very first student being hunt by the renowned Self Care Group, New Zealand to work for More Than Skin Day Spa during her study.

Annie’s professional care and strong dedication to work had won the heart of many people from the Howick of New Zealand. Her strong passion for the professional industry had been moving her forward for more and more advanced study. Her Spa experience from travelling around the world had further prompted to make her back to Hong Kong in 2005. For more than a year of preparation, Annie proudly launched her own designed spa centre - More Than Skin Urban Spa, Central in June 2006 for the mission of bringing in the international standard of Spa service to Hong Kong.

In mid 2009, Annie decided to make her life and career a further step of change. She closed her spa business - More Than Skin Urban Spa, in order to making her able to spend more time on the spa and beauty education to the next generation, contribute volunteer work to the spa industry by being a core board member in the China Spa Association, set up the HK Chapter and keep developing and managing her another own consultancy business “Pono Halo Group”, which is a “one stop spa, fitness centre & wellness club solution provider”, specializing in the Spa, Salon, Fitness, Health & Wellness Industry. At the same time, Annie still keeps giving professional beauty service to her clients by mobile with personalized custom style in Hong Kong and Mainland China - MOBILE BEAUTY by ANNIE FUNG. Biologique Recherche Flagship Beauty Clinic - Ambassade de la Beauté, would also be one of a stop for her clients to be pampered by Annie.

Annie still has high hope and very much involved in professional beauty training, she is now giving lectures on nutrition, spa and beauty for ITEC at HK and Mainland China. She is dedicated to extend her professional practice and ethic concept to the next generation of professional beauty therapist. Annie believes that in the very near future, beauty industry and the medical industry will be working closely together for a more Holistic view of beauty therapy and spa, beauty therapists will be highly respected as true professional.
